Vincenzo Trani is an international entrepreneur, founder and president of companies operating in different sectors such as finance, asset management, credit, leasing and car-sharing.

Vincenzo Trani started his career as a bank teller at Monte dei Paschi di Siena in Italy, where he rose to become a branch manager. After moving to Russia in 2000, he worked as an advisor for SME business development at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as the deputy CEO at KMB Bank (today, Banca Intesa), and the vice president at MDM Bank.

He was one of the originators of the small business microfinancing market in central Asia. In 2008, he founded Mikro Kapital Group, whose activities are focused exclusively on SME microfinancing. According to Trani, small business is the most dynamic segment of the economy. Mikro Kapital is a group focused in the use of microfinance techniques for investing in small businesses across emerging areas of the world, with a focus on EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions.

Trani founded the investment company General Invest in the same period, which was intended to attract investments from European and International institutional and private investors in microfinance funds for small businesses. General Invest then evolved into an independent investment company for large private investors. According to Kommersant, it is one of the largest brokerage companies in the region.

In 2015, Trani started the Delimobil carsharing company, an innovation in the urban transport ecosystem. Moscow has several million users of this service, ranking first in terms of carsharing development globally.

In 2011, he opened an office in Moscow for Carnelutti, an international law firm and leader in the international corporate law advisory market. The law firm is part of the Carnelutti Group, which is an association chaired by lawyer and academic Alessandro Carnelutti.

From 2019 to 2022 he was President of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce (CCIR).

In February 2020, he received the title of Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy. The order is awarded to Italian citizens living abroad for special contributions to the improvement of friendly relations and cooperation between Italy and other countries and for the improvement of ties with Italy.

Graduated in Economics and Business Management at the Sapienza University of Rome, in Economics and Management at the Institute of International Economic Relations in St. Petersburg and subsequently in Law.
